The eight-speed automatic is licensed from German powertrain supplier ZF,the new transmission may ultimately be available on all 300 V-6 models, for now, it’s only confirmed for the new 2012 300S — and only when built with both Chrysler’s 3.6-liter V-6 and rear-wheel drive (opt for either all-wheel-drive or the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 Some of the features are standard on V-8-powered 300S models, as are LED-illuminated gauges, rain-sense windshield wipers, a back-up camera, and Homelink transponder.

Fiat is getting ready for summer. In anticipation of the warmer weather, the Italian automaker has introduced the 2012 500c, a cabrio version of its subcompact hatchback.The roof is inspired by the canvas roof that was available when the original Fiat Cinquecento premiered in 1957.The 2012 500c’s top is electrically actuated and can fold all the way back to rest behind the rear headrests. Driver’s can drop the top to its fully open position at up to 50 mph, or fold the roof back to the integrated spoiler to create an open sunroof at up to 60 mph. Opening the rear trunk will cause the roof to lift up, allowing unobstructed access to the diminutive, 5.4-cubic-foot luggage compartment.

It’s powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that’s turbocharged and direct-injected, producing 210 horsepower. Power travels through a dual-clutch transmission to the front wheels. In an effort to make the “Mercedes of small cars,” the A-Class will come standard with collision prevention assistance, which will automatically brake the car if it senses an impending accident.The look is an evolution of the F800 Style concept from the 2010 Geneva Motor Show but more fluidic, The rear end is pert and rounded the front fascia is a little too close to a gaping fish mouth to our eyes.

First time the car has been seen in U.S. Little visually differentiates the Hybrid from the gasoline-only Panamera S. However, under the hood lies the same 333-horsepower, supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 and 47-horsepower electric motor found in the 2011 Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid. Power is routed through an eight-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels, and Porsche claims that its green grand tourer can make the sprint from 0-62 mph in six seconds.
